Exercise Programs Combined with Hands-On Treatment for Long Term Success

In our 13 strong years to date the team at Williamstown Health + Lifestyle has provided our community with the highest standard of health care. We also continue to innovate our service and treatment offerings in line with current evidence. So while our mission remains unwavered,  our philosophy of care has evolved to include a multidisciplinary approach of exercise programs combined with hands on treatment, so you can get back to doing the things you love. 

Understanding your motivation for seeking our assistance is crucial in our commitment to your care. It may be for long term pain relief, so you can look after others in your family; or perhaps your goal might be to run a half marathon. We recognize how important it is to communicate with you at any given moment, where you are on your treatment journey, and how we will work on your desired outcome together.

So for the above reasons, we are excited to share our Infinite Health Program which underpins our philosophy of care, combining the hands-on approach of our Physiotherapists, Osteopaths and Massage Therapists with the active movement and exercise approach of Pilates and Physio lead rehabilitation. 

This treatment cycle is a fluid program, based specifically on your needs and may include a number of stages at any given time. 

So what does this all mean to you?

If pain is holding you back from doing the things you love, we will work with you to achieve your best self.

RELIEVE: 

To begin with, our team of practitioners will treat you hands-on with the aim of releasing stiff or painful muscles/joints as a result of injury or poor movement patterns. This encourages your body to move efficiently and without pain. A precursor to successful retraining/rehabilitation.

Those seeking a longer term approach to prevention and management of their ongoing issues are encouraged to move onto the next phase of care. 

RETRAIN:

This stage involves a Pilates based exercise program to retrain stability and control of correct movement. This is a graded exercise program run at your pace. Learn to move in a way that reduces your risk of injury recurrence and compensatory movement patterns. Keeping you pain free and active. 

STRENGTHEN:

Many of us love this bit. Working with our physios in our custom gym space you will increase strength, endurance and stabilization for specific rehabilitation and whole body injury prevention. This approach is fantastic for return to play, however you don’t need to be an elite athlete to be strong and healthy and able to tackle what tomorrow throws at you. 

We believe combining hands-on treatment with a graduated movement program and education of your condition is pivotal in getting you back doing the things you love.
